Project Case Study

Women in Data was created to give women in Nepal’s data, technology, and innovation sectors a dedicated space to connect, collaborate, and grow professionally. The platform brings together professionals from areas such as software development, data science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital rights, and other technology fields.

The platform serves both professionals looking to build their careers and organizations searching for talent in technology and data related fields. Members can create professional profiles, discover people by domain expertise, explore opportunities, participate in events, and engage with industry resources. The website also highlights role models through its Hall of Fame and keeps the community informed through news and blog content. With these different needs in one place, the website plays an important role in making professional connections and opportunities easier to discover.

Our Approach

We approached Women in Data as a community and networking platform rather than a standard organizational website. Our team focused on creating a clear structure that makes professional discovery, community participation, and access to opportunities simple. The platform includes professional profiles, domain based talent discovery, community information, events, testimonials, Hall of Fame content, and a dedicated blog section.

We developed the website using HTML5, Bootstrap, Laravel, and MySQL, providing a practical foundation for managing member information and dynamic content. The interface was structured to help visitors move naturally between the community, professional profiles, opportunities, events, and resources. Responsive layouts also make the platform accessible across different screen sizes, while organized profile and domain sections help users discover relevant professionals more efficiently.

Result

The completed website gives Women in Data a dedicated digital platform for building its professional community and increasing the visibility of women working across Nepal’s technology and data sectors. Visitors can explore professional profiles, find people by areas of expertise, learn about events, read community stories, and understand how to become part of the platform.

The structured experience brings networking, talent discovery, learning, and community engagement together in one place. It also provides Women in Data with a flexible digital foundation for expanding its member network, events, resources, and career opportunities over time.
